Visiting Students' Research Programme (VSRP)
TIFR conducts summer programmes in which talented students are given an exposure to research activities in areas of Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Theoretical & Experimental Physics. The programmes are held at the Mumbai campus of the Tata Institute as well as at the National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune. Typically, VSRP students will have just completed a year of their Master's programme, and get an opportunity to work on a research project at TIFR during the period mid May-mid to July each year. At TIFR, research is carried out in frontline areas of all the fundamental sciences: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics, as well as in the field of Science Education. TIFR Scientists are world leaders in several fields and their published contributions to scientific knowledge are internationally recognised.
